The workshops are regular gatherings to build community; to discuss issues around food and health; to move, breathe, and to unwind.
Each community gathering is guided by a different theme, so you can build a journal of healthy tips and recipes for making preferable health choices.
Every time we meet we will move to bring awareness to the body, to the organs of the body, and start to listen and respond to the body needs. It will involve stretching, shaking, stroking, grounding, to name a few techniques.

We move to wake up the body, for heart health, for respiratory health, for bone density, muscle strength, mental health and longevity.

This is not an exercise class nor a yoga session.
Discuss the many health benefits of food from balancing blood sugar to reducing inflammation, improving sleep, increasing energy and losing weight - to name a few of the benefits of food.

Electronic handouts, on the monthly topic, will be circulated. Healthy snacks will be provided and as we sit and sample snacks we discuss the workshop's theme.
We will use pranayama to support focus, concentration and to improve health. Pranayama is a gentle breath technique, which balances the hormones, strengthens the respiratory system, calms and balances the mind regulating the neurotransmitters, increases heart health, lowers blood pressure and balances the autonomic nervous system.
Using breath work, meditation and relaxation to connect to the physical body, still the overactive mind and listen to the needs and emotions of body, supports you to make informed conscious choices for wellness.
